3dxcub³ was founded in Caracas in 2019, born from a simple but powerful conviction: when Venezuela rebuilds, it should rebuild with the tools of the future — not the infrastructure of the past.
Venezuela's industrial establishment was built in the 1960s and 70s. Decades of extraordinary hardship have created a 25-year gap in manufacturing development, innovation, and technical capacity. But that gap is also an opportunity. Unlike countries that must dismantle legacy systems to modernise, Venezuela can leap directly into 21st century manufacturing — if the right people are ready when the moment arrives. We intend to be ready.
PROVEN WHEN IT MATTERED MOST
In 2020, when the COVID-19 pandemic created a critical shortage of personal protective equipment across Venezuela, 3dxcub³ joined a collaborative effort with colleagues across the additive manufacturing community to do something about it.
Working alongside fellow makers, designers, and engineers, we mobilised our machines to produce face shields for medical personnel and first responders at a time when conventional supply chains had completely collapsed. It wasn't a commercial project. It was the right thing to do — and it demonstrated exactly what distributed, agile, digital fabrication can achieve when centralised industry cannot respond fast enough.
That experience sharpened our understanding of what this technology is truly capable of, and reinforced why building serious manufacturing capacity in Venezuela matters.
